AI Operator

An AI operator is an AI agent that completes a task by operating software the way a person would. Given an instruction, it works through an application or a web browser step by step: it reads what is on the screen or what an API returns, decides the next action, then clicks, types, fills in a form or makes a call, and checks the result before it continues. Agents of this kind are also called computer-use agents or browser agents.

Because an operator acts inside real accounts, the usual safeguards are narrow permissions, a log of every action it takes, and a pause for a person to confirm anything that is hard to undo, such as a payment, a sent message or a deleted record.
