Restaurant

An AI team for the floor, the menu, the pantry, and the staff

It handles your night recap

You pick Restaurant when your account is set up, and the office is built for one: a floor with your departments on it, the 7 pages below, and plain words on every door. The dining room is drawn to scale and used every night — seat a party, ring items onto seats, fire a course, push two tables together, close the check. Each desk has an officer you brief, and what you tell them rides into that desk's work. Behind the floor your AI team reads the house and drafts cards — the dish that is off the menu and can come back, the section with nobody on it, the shelf below par and what to buy, the day-off request nobody has answered, the booking the room cannot seat, last night's recap — and every card waits in Needs your OK. It drafts and it asks; nothing sends, buys, or changes the menu on its own.

The work that never gets done

The book is in one place and the floor in another

Who is seated where, which check is still open, and which party the room cannot take tonight are answered by walking the floor and asking.

Plate cost is a guess until someone does the arithmetic

The recipe on a card and the invoice in a drawer never meet, so the dish that stopped earning its place stays on the menu.

The walk-in is counted from memory

What is short is found at the pass during service, and the order is written from whatever the last person remembers.

Days off are decided in a text thread

A request sits unanswered while the week is scheduled as if the person is there — or as if they are not.

Last night is whatever the till says

Covers, checks closed, and who worked the floor but closed nothing are known only if someone adds them up.

What changes

  • The floor is drawn once and used every night: seat a party, ring items onto seats, fire a course, split a check by drawing a line between two chairs, push two tables together, close the check.
  • Once your recipes are typed, plate cost sits beside menu price on every dish, the dishes over the target you set are counted, and a fired plate takes its ingredients out of the pantry.
  • A count is typed in the app and kept as a ledger — what moved and why — so what is short is read off the shelf, worst first, instead of remembered.
  • Once your shifts and who can work when are typed, a day-off request re-runs the week before you answer it, so you see what saying yes costs; when the week cannot be read, the card says so instead of saying yes costs nothing. You still decide.
  • A dish that is off the menu comes back to your attention when the shelf can make it again, with the ingredient that ran out named.
  • Every card your AI team drafts waits in Needs your OK, and approving most of them posts a note to your team — a person still does the thing on the floor. Two cards do the thing themselves, because a note would leave the job half done after you said yes: a table a caller asked for by telephone outside the hours or the party size you set, where approving writes the booking; and a dish that can come back, where approving puts it back on the menu.

Questions, answered

What does a restaurant get on day one?

The 7 pages above, built from the restaurant template the moment you pick it, plus the dining room, the recipe book, and the shifts desk. A real house starts empty; sample data is loaded only if you ask. A menu, a stock list, a booking list, or a shift list can be uploaded from a spreadsheet by an owner, and the columns are matched for you to confirm before anything is written. Recipes are typed one at a time.

Does the AI act on its own?

No. It proposes and you approve. The cards it drafts for a restaurant — a dish that can come back on the menu, a section with guests in it and nobody standing in it, a shelf below par with the list of what to buy, a day-off request nobody has answered, a booking the room cannot seat, and last night's recap — arrive with the arithmetic done from the numbers your house has typed, and say plainly where a number is missing. Approving one posts a note to your own team, except for two cards that carry out the thing you approved: the dish goes back on the menu, and a telephone booking you say yes to is written into the book. Nothing is sent outside the building, no stock is ordered, no schedule is published, and no party is seated by the AI.

What does it connect to?

Square is the only connection that feeds the floor. It connects by your consent at setup and reads your payments, your customers, and your orders — nothing is written back — and a Square order lands as a check in the same table the floor writes, so last night's recap sees it. We make that connection with you on a call and watch the first orders land together. The tools every business plugs in — email, calendar, and the rest — sit behind the door marked Plug in your tools, as they do for any business, and none of them feeds the floor, the pantry, or the recap. There is no Toast, Clover, or Lightspeed connection.

What does it not do yet?

It does not take online reservations or online ordering, take payment, run payroll, reply to reviews, run loyalty or gift cards, track inventory across more than one location, or keep food-safety logs; bookings are typed by your host, money reaches it only through Square, and a reorder is a shopping list for you to act on, not a supplier order.

What does it cost?

Starter is $99/mo for 1 seat on your own AI key, and you set it up yourself. Pro, where we set it up with you, is $299/mo for a single seat and $599/mo at 3 seats. Business is $3,999/mo for up to 10 seats. The pricing page and the checkout read the same table this page does.

Will it decide my menu or my prices?

No. Once your recipes are typed it puts plate cost beside menu price dish by dish and counts the dishes over the target you set, and when any line of a recipe is unpriced it shows no cost rather than a smaller one. Recipes, prices, and what stays on the menu are yours.

How do we start?

With a conversation. Trials start with a short call, and on it we hand you a single-use code that opens a trial in your name; there is no open trial sign-up. Book the call from this page.
